    Arrival Day Timeline

    Session 1 Arrival Day: June 29

    Session 2 Arrival Day: July 13

    Overnight students are welcome to arrive between 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm. Day students may attend Arrival Day from 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm to complete registration and attend the day family meeting at 4:00pm.

    1:00 pm: Registration Opens!

    Overnight students may begin to arrive at 1:00 pm. Follow the orange EXPLO signs to arrive at registration at Wellesley College Club, found at 727 Washington St.

    Check In

    Receive your lanyard, dorm assignment + key, and Arrival Day packet— full of important info for both parents and students!

    At this time, you'll also leave any phones, tablets, or laptops to be locked up in the Main Office, and any valuables can be put in the safe.

    Drop Off Meds

    Check in with the Health Office to drop off any medications. Have your medications easily accessible so you don't have to dig through your bags!

    Move into Dorm Room

    Move into your new home-away-from-home! Families are invited up to the dorm rooms to help students get settled. Drop off your luggage at McAfee circle and park in the Founder's Lot. We'll guide you there!

    2:00 PM: Overnight Parent Meeting

    Parents of overnight students are invited to join EXPLO President and Head of Program Moira Kelly for a meeting and Q&A. This is an optional meeting.

    4:00 PM: DAY PARENT MEETING

    Day students and parents are welcome on campus between 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm to complete registration, pick up their Arrival Day packet, and attend an optional meeting with EXPLO President and Head of Program Moira Kelly at 4:00 pm. Registration can also be completed Monday morning at Day Student Arrival.

    5:00 PM: Family Departure

    Overnight and day families must depart campus by 5:00 pm. Say your goodbyes, and we'll see you parents soon. Day students, we'll see you tomorrow!

    This map highlights the buildings and spaces that EXPLO uses at Wellesley College during the summer. Each student will receive a printed map during registration, but you can download a copy ahead of time if you'd like to be prepared!

    Contacting Your Student On Campus

    Did you know you can send emails to your child on campus using the “Email my student”  link on the Dashboard? These messages will be printed and delivered each day. Parents/guardians can send emails, plus any extended family members that you have authorized.

    After a day of exploration, the fun continues with evening events that bring everyone together for unforgettable moments. Every evening offers something new to experience. These events are a highlight of the summer—and a chance to connect, laugh, and make memories that last a lifetime.

    Day students can join in on the fun for an additional charge each night.

    Amusement Park Trip

    Weekend Trips

    Each weekend day, you choose what you do and where you go. Maybe it will be a whale watching, white water rafting, or beach day. Or maybe a day at the Museum of Science. A trip to Six Flags amusement park? A food tour? We can’t answer this one for you because it’s up to you!

    Weekend trips are only for Overnight students.

    Find Your People

    We often hear from families after the summer that their children forgot to get friends' contact information. We get it— they're too busy having fun!

    To make it easier to make those connections, we are offering a Summer Directory which will be shared with all families once the program has ended. To opt into this directory, click the link below and fill out the form with your contact information. This will only be shared with other enrolled EXPLO families securely on the CampSite Student Dashboard and is entirely optional.

    Day Student Carpool

    EXPLO maintains a carpool list for day families to connect with one another to coordinate shared transportation.

    If you opt into the carpool list, you are agreeing to and understand that your contact information will be shared with other EXPLO families.

    You can opt in on the Day Transportation Details form on the Student Dashboard.
