A Day in the Life

What does an EXPLO day look like?
Life at this Massachusetts summer camp is all about choice—the freedom to experiment, with a supportive community to cheer you on. And while there’s no such thing as a “typical” day at EXPLO, they follow this basic flow:
- Morning Huddle
- Breakfast
- Day student arrival
- Workshop Period 1
- Workshop Period 2
Attend both workshops every weekday morning, with a break in between. Focus students attend their Focus programs during Workshop periods.

- Check-In, Community Meeting
- Clubs, Leagues + Activities
- Flex Time
- Day Student Pickup
Focus students attend their Focus programs during the Elective period.

- Check-In
- Evening Events
- Late Day Student Pickup

Grab a spot on the lawn for movie night, catch an outdoor magic show, laugh out loud at an improv comedy troupe, or take to the stage yourself—the possibilities are endless. Past events include Carnival Night, EXPLO’s Got Talent, EXPLOStock Music Festival, dances, Game Show Night, and more!

From gastronomy class to graffiti art, soccer fields to government simulations—Lundy's day blends academics, creativity, and campus life. Evening activities like the Halloween in July Party keep the energy going long after classes end.
Join Anya on her EXPLO 360° day
Anya dives into International Law and Diplomacy, exploring Game Theory before switching gears to Pastry Baking and art club. With time to venture into town, she balances intellectual rigor with creative pursuits and local exploration.
Paloma's Medical Rotations Day
In Medical Rotations, Paloma gets hands-on at Boston's STRATUS Simulation Lab—practicing with casts, ultrasounds, intubation, and laparoscopy surgery. Flex time and evening talent shows round out her residential experience.
Check out Shaheen's Vet Science Day
Shaheen's Day student veterinary journey takes him from classroom to field—visiting Ocean State Equine Center, New England Wildlife Center, and the zoo. After hands-on learning, he unwinds with flex time and stays late for dinner and carnival night festivities.
