What does an EXPLO day look like?

Life at this Massachusetts summer program is all about choice—the freedom to experiment, with a supportive community to cheer you on. And while there’s no such thing as a “typical” day at EXPLO, they follow this basic flow:

    • 7:45am Morning Huddle
    • 8:00am Breakfast
    • 8:15am Day student arrival
    • 8:40am Community Meeting
    • 9:15am Workshop Period 1
    • 10:40am Workshop Period 2

Attend both workshops every weekday morning, with a break in between. Focus students attend their Focus programs during Workshop periods.

    • 12:00pm Lunch
    • 1:15pm Electives
    • 2:45pm Check-In
    • 3:00pm Activities
    • 4:15pm Check-In
    • 4:30pm Flex Time

In the Activities period you can try something new every day, or make a weeklong commitment. The best part? Participating with friends—and making new ones—while building your strengths and interests. Sign up to spend time in Wellesley Square during Flex Time and visit its shops and restaurants.

Focus students attend their Focus programs during the Elective period.

    • 5:30pm Dinner
    • 6:00pm Day Student Pick-up

    • 7:00pm Evening Event
    • 9:00pm Late Day Student Pickup + Hall Check-In
    • 10:15pm Room Curfew

Grab a spot on the lawn for movie night, catch an outdoor magic show, laugh out loud at an improv comedy troupe, or take to the stage yourself—the possibilities are endless. Past events include Carnival Night, EXPLO’s Got Talent, Disco Dance, Game Show Night, and more!
