    Preparing your teen for their first overnight camp experience is a bit different at EXPLO. We’re an academic enrichment program, so your student will be able to build connections through shared interests in addition to fun activities. EXPLO’s Overnight program helps students practice independence in a supportive space, adjust to dorm life, and build confidence, social-emotional skills, and lasting friendships.

    You're not alone

    Most students come to EXPLO’s sleepaway programs in Massachusetts not knowing anyone. That changes fast! We pair students with roommates, and they join a living group with two advisors who live on the floor. They eat meals, do activities, and make friends together with their group. Often, by the end of the program, kids feel so comfortable that they don’t want to go home!

    “Kidsickness” is real. Sending your child off to one of the best sleep away programs in Massachusetts for two weeks can be tough! Know that we’re there for both of you. We post photos every day and schedule phone calls home after the first week. You can send letters via snail mail or through our website, which we’ll print and deliver.
