World Cooking

Pack your appetite—we’re  off to explore traditional foods, cooking techniques, and customs from around the world.

In this workshop, you’ll travel the world. But you won’t need a passport—just a taste for adventure, a dash of curiosity, and an apron. What’s the difference between an empanada and a dumpling? What’s the best way to make pasta from scratch or wrap a wonton? With each technique you master, you’ll discover customs and traditions that make each dish and dining experience unique. You might learn how to hold chopsticks (and proper etiquette for placing them back down), how to order the best dishes in India, or how to prepare everyone’s favorite ANZAC biscuits. When you travel, the best memories you make are of what you experience, what you eat, and what you learn about diverse cultures along the way. In our kitchen, we make sure you discover all three.

Please note: Students with food allergies or sensitivities should contact our Admission Office for more details before enrolling in this course. This course may not be appropriate for students with specific dietary restrictions.
