Pre-College Electives
Here’s an example of the type of electives you can select in our EXPLO 360° program. Career Concentrations offers ways to Earn College Credit and Strengthen Your College Application too.

College Planning: Finding the Right College Fit
What should you look for in a college? Connect with an experienced college counselor to explore college types both in the Greater Boston area and worldwide to understand the options available, and determine which is right for you.
College counselor visits
EXPLO brings the experts to you to lead sessions like “Creating a Successful U.S. College Application” or, for international students, “Refining Your Search for U.S. Colleges.” You can even schedule one-on-one and small group meetings with college counselors for more personalized, in-depth discussion.
The college writing workshop was ASTOUNDING. The speaker was eloquent and helpful, and her tips were invaluable and provided insight from one who has "insider info" about the admissions process.
Having someone specialized in college admissions come to talk to us was very helpful to me to know exactly how I should do things to enter university.
Insider perspectives
Diverse faculty
Unlike many other summer programs that work with a singular institution, EXPLO brings the best instructors from institutions across the east coast, the entire U.S., and even abroad. You’ll get a sense of the different styles of instruction of a wide range of institutions—and the chance to ask faculty what their home universities or colleges are like.
Accomplished students and recent graduates
Your EXPLO instructors also include current college students and recent graduates who will share their experiences with you. They come from a wide range of schools and backgrounds, and can provide the kind of relevant and practical insight that more traditional admission officers or college counseling offices can’t always give.
