Highlights

Emergency Triage + Prioritization
Familiarize yourself with emergency medical skills and apply them to real-life scenarios, such as a simulated mass-casualty incident. Learn how to quickly assess patients’ needs and assign priorities in a high-stress situation.

Suturing + First Aid Skills
Practice basic stitches with suturing kits and consider the kinds of injuries where suturing would be most effective.  Try your hand at other first aid skills, as you learn to assess and treat a variety of injuries.

Blood Clot Experimentation
Investigate the field of cardiology and learn how the heart pumps blood through the body. Then, use an EXPLO-designed blood clot machine to design a trap that can successfully catch simulated blood clots as they travel through a blood vessel model.

Patient Care
As an EXPLO doctor in residence, you’ll find each patient’s case presents unique challenges. Apply problem-solving skills to work through the diagnostic process and ensure each patient gets the care they need.
