Online Influence: Creating Video for Social Media

Harness the power of new media platforms by learning to make meaningful video to create change.

About this Workshop

Campus: Sarah Lawrence College | Rising Grades: 8,9

Aspiring actors and musicians no longer require a professional film crew to promote the latest album or spread messages of awareness and action. And no longer are businesses, entertainers, and other content creators beholden to the constraints of big media companies. But the freedom to produce content in so many ways also means that it can be harder to break through the noise. In this workshop, you’ll work with a team to plan and shoot a media campaign designed for new media platforms and markets. Plan a storyboard, set up for shots, and edit your creation as you attempt to garner attention for your cause in the crowded digital landscape.
