Villains on Trial

With great power comes great responsibility—in this court, yours is to bring fictional villains to justice.

About this Workshop

Campus: Regis College | Rising Grades: 4,5

Acting as legal professionals, present evidence against the defendant, cross-examine witnesses, convince the jury of your position, and hand down a judgment. Is Gaston guilty of defamation of character? Could a court convict the Big Bad Wolf for destruction of private property? Should Voldemort be banished to Azkaban for crimes against Mudbloods? Applying the principles and procedure of mock trial, learn to analyze evidence, deliver opening and closing statements, build a persuasive argument, and implement the standards of courtroom etiquette to win your verdict. Your ability to persuade the jury beyond reasonable doubt is all that stands between Good and Evil.
