Met some friends in Crossroads dining hall. I love their home fries.
Criminal Investigations
Periods 1 + 2
9:00 AM
Took a trip to the San Jose Police Department’s Bomb Unit where we learned about how investigators piece together evidence after an explosion. They actually exploded a car for us, and then had us do the post-blast analysis of the scene. Crawling around looking for evidence was amazing.
Lunch
12:00 PM
Before leaving San Jose, we grabbed lunch. I started imagining what it would be like to work here, next to Apple, Google, and Facebook—or maybe for them. It’s so different from home.
Criminal Investigations Period 3

Back at Berkeley, our professor, who's an actual federal agent, showed us how to apply what we learned at the bomb unit to other crime scenes. I’m getting so much better at noticing small things!
End of class time

On my way back to drop my stuff off at the dorms, we grabbed bubble tea at TP Tea on Telegraph Ave.
Afternoon Activity

I considered checking out the art museum or the science museum (maybe tomorrow?), but decided to join my advisor Noah who organized a game of Ultimate Frisbee at Memorial Glade.
Dinner
6:00 PM
Tonight I went for the taco bar at Crossroads, and Del, my roommate, went for a rice bowl from the Lemongrass Grill. They’ve got 10 different food stations in this dining hall.

We had a quick check-in at the EXPLO student center.
Evening Event
7:30 PM
Could have gone with the RA, Grace on a sunset hike into the Berkeley hills, but my friends and I decided to stay back at the student center for ice cream on the patio and a Hollywood trivia night.
